DITSA KEY ROLES
Our most popular skills programs are publicly presented across provinces. A public environment brings the opportunity to meet and network with colleagues from other organizations.
Our courses are available for in-house company training. This enables a group of co-workers to up skill at the same time, and for customized programmes to be more focused on the organization’s specific goals.
We have the resources to set up and co-ordinate your complete training needs – whatever they may be.
We fulfill other value added roles:
We offer both group coaching and one-to-one coaching & counselling to help turn development plans into specific actions and achieve outstanding results through all selected training.
We provide a consultancy service to help with competency mapping, training needs analysis and learning intervention design leading to training implementation.
Our Learning Philosophies

We define learning as the process of adding to and building of one’s repertoire of knowledge, skills, attitudes and behaviors, being measured by a sustained change in observable behavior. We recognize that learning is enhanced when it is relevant to daily life, and when something real is constructed and shared with others for critical feedback.
Adult learners are highly selective. They are more highly motivated to internalize learning which is most relevant to their daily life. Our understanding of how the brain functions, learning styles, left and right brain dominance, and work styles all contribute to the design of the learning environment we provide.
The environment in which we operate, therefore, offers choice. It caters for diversity of skills and style, is congenial, and encourages each participant to take risks and make changes back at work. We use a variety of techniques for accelerated learning including:
“What I Hear, I forget. What I see, I remember. What I do, I understand”

LEADING WORKPLACE CHANGE
The key to individual performance improvement is far more that a learning program or motivational session. It’s a managed process. All DITSA qualifications are preceded by preparatory work, and followed up with a review process using assignments designed to transfer the learning back to the workplace.
Preparation Activities focus on the individual needs and the organization’s objectives, to maximize the transfer of relevant skills from training room to workplace. These activities are completed between the manager/supervisor and participant prior/during the training and relate to situations that arise in the individuals every day role. Post Class Assignments have always been an important part of our approach to training and development.
Assignments involve the conscious application of what has been learned, and an evaluation of the effects of it in the workplace. Assignment tasks are as practical as possible and relevant to a participant’s current work situation. They require interaction with work colleagues and report back on progress achieved.
All assignments sent to DITSA are marked and returned. All learning is based on registered Unit Standard of the South African Qualifications Authority (SAQA) DITSA will therefore be proud to award “Certificate of Competency” against unit standards and or qualifications obtained. All learner’s information is uploaded to the relevant Seta for upload to SAQA – National Learner Database.
Certificates are also issued by the relevant Seta
